The Culper Spy Ring,
Sons of the American Revolution
General George Washington, commander of the Continental Army, needed information on British Troop movement during the Revolutionary War. A Young cavalry officer named Benjamin Tallmadge recruited a small group of men and women from his hometown of Setauket, Long Island to establishj a spy ring. This spy ring became the most effective intelligence gathering operation on either side of the war.
The Board Meeting will begin at 10:00 in the Moorhead Room. Setup in the general meeting, which begins at 1:00pm, will be in the dining room.
