Cincinnati – Where Pigs Fly!
Why do people come in droves to Cincinnati at the start of May? Why, to run or to walk or to cheer on their friends in the Flying Pig Marathon, of course! This past May marked the 25th running of the Flying Pig, and Iris Simpson Bush has been there for them all. She heads Pig Works, which is the umbrella organization of the Flying Pig Marathon, the Queen Bee Half-Marathon, the Beer series and the FCC3, with the Flying Pig being Pig Works’ signature and anchor event. She will share all that Pig Works means for our community. If you have been a participant in or a volunteer for the Flying Pig, weare your medal or your “grunt” shirt to welcome Iris.
Meetings are for WWC members and their guests. Interested in becoming a member? See Diane Heilmann (513) 661-4689 or Mary Beth Baverman (513) 678-2536.
The Board Meeting will begin at 10:00 in the Moorhead Room.
