Traditional Worship Service

Sundays at 10:30am

Worship at Westwood First is a corporate act of reverence, joy, praise and thanksgiving, and the primary way in which we bear witness to the faith, hope, and love we have in Jesus Christ. We take that seriously, but for reasons that may surprise you. The simple truth is, worship is about God. Through our worship, we offer: our time in participation; our attention to the movement of the Spirit; our voices in song, laughter and prayer; our hearts in praise, adoration and thanksgiving; our resources for the ongoing work of God’s mission of compassion and reconciliation.

Central to our worship service is God’s Word read and proclaimed. Thus our sermons are grounded in Scripture and presented in thoughtful, meaningful (and often humorous) ways that connect with modern, everyday life.

Our Music is uplifting and engaging, led by our Chancel and Bell choirs. Our worship is held in our beautiful sanctuary—featuring Austrian stained glass windows that tell the story of the Life of Christ. The sacrament of the Lord’s Supper is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. We invite you to join us and to come as you are. ALL ARE WELCOME!
